ABOUT CCBC |
HISTORY OF THE CCBC
The Collie Club of British Columbia was formed in June,
1986. The intentions and goals of the founder were to unite the many Collie
enthusiasts and as a group, work for the betterment of the breed.
We hold Sanction Matches &
Boosters within BC as well as yearly Specialties. We are now hosting Herding
events.
We try to issue a
quarterly publication The Collie Classic to help keep members up-to-date on all the wins and successes of other members,
and to provide educational information and materials to Collie owners and
breeders. We are hoping that a CCBC member would like to create this brief
newsletter.
We have held such events
as grooming seminars, nutritional lectures, discussions on the Collie Standard,
Herding Trials, Canine Displays, Social Events, like BBQ's & Christmas parties.
CCBC encourages all
aspects of responsible Collie ownership: obedience, conformation, agility,
herding and most importantly - companionship and love of the Collie!
